The WBYB community is grieving the unexpected passing of Coach Eric Moskoff, a cherished coach whose dedication, compassion, and leadership left a lasting mark on countless players and families. His loss is being felt deeply across the league, where he was known not only for his commitment to youth baseball, but for the positive influence he brought to every child he coached.
Eric served as a coach in the league for more than five years, beginning when his son, Aiden, joined Teeball. From those early days, Eric’s involvement grew into a steadfast commitment to the league and its mission. Over time, he became much more than a volunteer coach — he was a mentor, role model, and trusted presence for players and parents alike.
Those who knew Eric remember him for his kindness, patience, and genuine love for the game. He believed baseball was about more than wins and losses; it was about teaching teamwork, confidence, and respect. His encouragement helped young athletes grow both on and off the field, and his calm, positive demeanor made every child feel valued.
Eric’s impact extended beyond practices and games. He built strong relationships within the community and fostered an environment where families felt supported and connected. His leadership and generosity of spirit helped shape the culture of the league and will continue to influence it for years to come.
Eric is survived by his loving wife, Shannon, and his son, Aiden, who remain in the thoughts and prayers of the entire WBYB family during this difficult time. As the community mourns together, it also honors the legacy Eric leaves behind — one defined by service, mentorship, and a deep love for youth sports.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Bnai Torah Congregation, located at 6261 NW 18th Street in Boca Raton, Florida. Burial will follow at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 FL-7 in Boynton Beach, Florida.
While Coach Eric Moskoff may no longer be on the field, his influence will forever remain a part of WBYB. He will be remembered for the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the kindness he shared so freely.
Rest in peace, Coach Eric. 🧡🤍⚾
